It's been a busy for a couple of weeks now ... it seems like something has been going on or in the works every day. I had to play catch-up on the Covenstead blog! Now there is a brief reprieve as we head into December.
Thank you *Cordelia* for the stunning photo!!
I'm blessed in so many ways... but let me tell you, this past week in particular. I've been under the weather with a bad cold that can't seem to make up its mind where it's going to settle (in my head, chest or throat). A study group workshop Friday night and a trip planned to 4QF on Saturday... at one point, I wasn't sure if I was up for either but our group has such a positive and healing energy, I was rejuvenated just being amongst them. The workshop was a huge success and the trip to 4QF was simply amazing. At 4QF, we had two circles (a first for me - two circles in one day). The first was at the Fox Altar for Dave's dedication where I was moved to tears. As Dave spoke, I thought about when he first joined our group and how far he has come to stand with us and dedicate to the path... I couldn't hold back the emotion - I didn't even try. Our second circle was in the Stone Circle.. the *church* of the land. I don't mind saying that I was nervous. I hadn't cast a circle anywhere but on familiar turf before. My worry was unnecessary. It was lovely. We all headed back to the farm house for a huge pasta dinner and socializing. Later that night I was still on a high. I can't say enough about our group - their sincerity, loyalty, devotion and commitment. I believe Brendan put it so eloquently when he spoke about devotion at the Stone Circle ritual... 'perfect love & perfect trust.'
